"Julia from 'Driving Plus' was extremely patient, well experienced and friendly. I would recommend her to anyone who is nervous or unsure in their driving skills to start learning with Julia. Even if, like me, you had already been driving, she was exceptionally good at developing my driving skills and helping me to become a safe driver.

Julia was easy to communicate with and quick to notify and rectify any problems I had. Being a very experienced instructor she made sure that I could do each skill, like reverse parking, properly and safely. Unlike some driving instructors, Julia took me to a variety of places to practice driving and she was quite flexible with her bookings.

She also ensured that I fully understood what was required in the 'P' driving test, so that I was prepared for it. She was with me on the day of the 'P' test, as I had booked a lesson beforehand. I am delighted to be able to recommend Julia Cleanthous. Julia was my driving instructor over a few months (to mid-2006), during which she taught me to drive, from zero, to passing the driving test at my first attempt.

Overall, I found Julia very knowledgeable, professional and flexible.

Knowledge

Julia is an experienced instructor and a very experienced driver herself. She could answer all my questions promptly and (as I realised later) always chose her strategy and answers very carefully, considering my level of knowledge and my particular abilities all the time. For example, she emphasised on the correct following and stopping distances from early on, which, indeed, was an area that I remained nervous about until my exam!

Professionalism

I found Julia very professional, engaged and systematic in her approach to instruction. I was particularly impressed by the fact that Julia always thought about my lesson, including topics, itinerary and key points, before the start of the lesson. Julia was always polite, respectful and patient, however she was also very open about my mistakes and was firm and assertive when she needed to be.

Flexibility

One aspect that I really appreciated with Julia was the fact that she was always flexible with my scheduled lessons, trying to fit with my other (very busy) work and home schedule. Julia also suggested a very good balance between my lessons (also including their frequency and duration), and my learning needs.
